 Solid wood constructioon, very well built.Structure is divided into five 2-story sections that are individually insulated, each section has 2 apartments one up one down for a total of 10 apartments. The structure does not have to be full of cats to be warm, one cat can warm up it's apartment with it's own body heat. The structure measures 8ft long by 2ft deep by ft high. Each apartment measures 16"x18"x14H on the inside and will fit 2 compatable cats.So structure is capable of housing up to 20 cats. There is a round opening in the floor of each upper apartment for kitty to travel up and down. The floor of each apartment is covered with carpet and pulls out for easy cleaning. Each door opening measures 8"w x 10"h and will accomodate the largest cats. The door openings ae covered with vinyl transparent curtains. The base and floors are made of treated lumber that will stand up to the elements, the exterior is plywood and luanne. The structure is stained golden oak with several coats of Marine Varnish Clearcoat for lasting potection.
